Baden-Württemberg

A leisurely tour along Lake Constance or a challenging mountain ride through the Black Forest or the Swabian Alb. With 21 designated state cycle routes with a minimum length of 100 kilometers and 18 cycle routes certified as ADFC quality routes, the state of Baden-Württemberg offers a lot for cyclists. From the medieval old town of Heidelberg to the baroque palaces of Ludwigsburg and the half-timbered towns along the Romantic Road, there is much to explore. The "Württemberger Weinradweg" and the "Badische Weinradweg" are theme tours for wine enthusiasts.
Located practically on the doorstep of the state capital Stuttgart is the Swabian Forest. It is part of the largest contiguous forest area in Württemberg, along with the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park. In addition to reconstructed watchtowers and Roman castles, there are also medieval mills to discover along the rivers and streams.
Bodensee-Oberschwaben is one of the 12 regions of Baden-Württemberg, located in the far southeast of the state on the border with Bavaria. The Allgäu region, at the northern edge of the Alps, attracts especially mountain bikers to the southern tip of Swabia. In the northernmost part of Baden-Württemberg lies Oberschwaben-Allgäu, which includes the Heilbronn region, Hohenlohe, the Lovely Tauber Valley, Kraichgau-Stromberg, the Odenwald, and the Kurpfalz. This area offers numerous tours through diverse landscapes.
