Lower Saxony

The Harz mountains or the heath, the Weser river or the Wadden Sea, moorland or the sea – more than 40 long-distance cycle paths allow you to explore the regions of Lower Saxony. Following the course of rivers, classics like the Weser and Elbe Cycle Paths are among Germany's most popular long-distance cycling routes. According to a survey by the ADFC, the Emsland, the county of Bentheim, and the Osnabrück region are also popular choices.
Cycling has a long tradition in Lower Saxony. Cities like Oldenburg, Göttingen, and Osnabrück have been certified as bicycle-friendly.
